Good Evening folks,

I just remember to update this before I go into a few days of hibernation. I had good news today about my CT scan. I spoke briefly with one of the doctors today. On the upside, I had 3 spots in my liver now I have 2 and my chemo marker for bowel cancer is now 9. On downside there is a spot on my thyroid, to really confirm that it requires a biopsy. The doctor said this may be a false reading. On the LUMP..he could not distinguish scar tissue from cancer cells. Mind you this is only a brief informal meeting. They are having a meeting tomorrow to discuss all the patients that had scans last week. After that the doctor will have better information. He said that when I return on Thursday to have my 5FU pump off he have another chat with me then.

I had ask about the bruising on my soles of my feet. The doctor said that is one of the side effects of the 5FU. Oxiplatin produces the tingles and the Avastin produces high blood pressure. Well I learnt something new today..

Feeling very tired now as Elaine had to head off for a parent/teacher meeting for Jordan. I made the boys and me dinner. I think I overdid it during the preparation of cooking the meal. I was riding on the high of the good news not thought nothing about the 7th cycle of chemo today. I think I am paying for it now...

Well I better get to sleep as my body is demanding it now..I can hardly keep my eyes open..
