Woes !!!

Evening All,

Today marks the official end of my 10th cycle. Elaine and I went to the hospital to have my pump disconnected. I am feeling a crap as well. I am sleeping a lot and feeling nauseous as well. The cold does not help either as I am really feeling it this time round. I am still getting these annoying hot sweaty flushes and not to the same extent as Tuesday. I am also experiencing pains in my lump, liver area, and suffering from minor headaches. I give in and took some pain killers. My appetite is slowing coming back but I have to really force myself to drink and eat.

On Tuesday I forgot to mention that I went to see the stoma nurse about my stoma. Well I found out that I have a loop Ileostomy so both ends of my bowel is sticking out of my side. The reason the lower bowel is protruding now is due to the effects of the chemo affecting it. At least that has put my mind at rest. As I thought it was mutating...

My fingers and sole of my feet are feeling numb all the time. There is no sensation of feeling in them at all. I am hoping this will fade by next week.

Money worries are looming as my sick pay from my work will end near the end of February and the income protection will kick in. Which will mean another reduction in pay by a third. We are pulling our belts in and hope to ride out the woes of this situation. There are avenues open to us but I really need to sit down and work out the best cause of action. I might have to sell my car as it is just sitting there without been used. But then If I return to work I will need it as well...it never really ends...
