Another day goes by. I seem to do the most crazy stuff sometimes. As you may be aware I had some PC probs. So I decided to rebuild not one but two today. Barring a small hiccup with the one having no graphics for a while. It all got fixed...I have one more to put back together, that is a project for Jordan and I. He wants to learn to I am supervising him to put it all together. He got to start somewhere...
I seem to gain an handle on my sleep pattern now. I go to bed when I am exhausted and only then I can get about five hours of undisturbed sleep. So far I am still doing fine. I tend not to get tired during the day now. Which makes it much easier for me to sleep. My side is OK for now. It is not bothering me much except when I start to walk fast or run. Even twisting my upper body is causing me grief but if it is controlled then its not too bad...
Here is a picture of Floppsie...not too sure if its a he or she...we need to take it to the vet for some jags. Maybe then we definitely know what gender it is.
Anyway it time for ma bed...
Before I go here is a bit from BallyBrado news letter...
The 1 minute philosopher
"We live in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavours and furniture polish is made from real lemons."
(Alfred E. Newman)
That is it for this week. To finish this week's news sheet I have something for you from the category "International Affairs". The background: Indian officials found pesticides in Coca Cola, exceeding Indian norms by 140 times (for Lindan) and Chlorpyrifos by 200 times. As a result many Indian states banned Coke and Pepsi from government schools, colleges and hospitals. The state of Kerala has completely banned these drinks. The response of the Bush administration in form of a statement by Frank Lavin U.S. Undersecretary for International Trade, followed swiftly: "In a time when India is working hard to attract and retain foreign investment, it would be unfortunate if the discussion were dominated by those who did not want to treat foreign companies fairly."Mike Adams, author of the book "The Five Soft Drink Monsters" which teaches readers how to beat soft drink addictions to improve their health and avoid obesity and diabetes, describes this response from the Bush administration despicable. "This is commercial bullying by corrupt U.S. government officials who are conniving to protect powerful corporations at the expense of health of Indian's citizens. Doesn't India have the right to protect its people from products that its own scientists have found contain cancer-causing chemicals?"Both Coke and Pepsi have denied high pesticide content in their drinks. The Indian Supreme Court has requested that they disclose the "exact amount of harmful contents in each bottle."I ask myself, have these products ever been analysed in Ireland, and why should Coke in India be different from Coke in Ireland?
Nite All,
Sai
