Lump Gone (insert smiley face here)

Hi Folks,
Managed to access Sai's blog at last.It should have been simple but these things never are (number lock key was blocked to take the password in-exciting i know!)

Anyway,Sai is doing very well.I spoke to him this am and he sounds so much better than yesterday-not so sore but still pretty sore.We only discovered yesterday,when the nurse changed his dressings that he has a 6 inch wound across his stomach with staples in it! This was kept kind of quiet.well the CIA couldn't have hidden it any better! That was where (he asked the team on morning rounds as the nurses didn't know he had that either-is it me or is this a bit odd?!) the tumour was taken out off, although it was keyhole surgery-a pretty big key! as my mum said.

The op went as well as could be expected which was fantastic.He went down to theatre at 8 30 am on Friday morning and didn't come back to his room until 17 30!! (I was having kittens at this point-5 in all,they're gorgeous and fluffy!)There were tubes coming out of everywhere and a morphine pump which you self administer-but that's all gone,well still one stomach drain but should be out tomorrow.

He was in much better form as allowed to eat a bit yesterday (Sun),if you know anything about Sai you'll know he likes his nosh and is a hunter gatherer ,spear in hand kind of man.He's not happy if starved and even asked me to smuggle in some carmel shortcake-he said i'll just suck a bit of it!! So needless to say I didn't, imagine something had happened to his system and it was my fault for smuggling in the carmel shortcake! However i did take him two bars of it in yesterday(being allowed to eat from then).

So he was also told the last CT scan .which was a few weeks ago had shown more shrinking of the 'bad bits' including the liver.There's a 1 cm lesion and the other one is less than 2 cm now.Don't know what the next step is now,just got to get him well and out of hospital and we'll see what the plan is.

My mum is here and doesn't sit down.She painted the patio furniture,5 hour job the other day,has weeded,washed,ironed,cooked,sorted out the garden shed and around the side of it (it was all beasties hiding i there and i wasn't going near it!) etc,etc.Sai's cousin said we should consider holding her hostage ...so having a think about that...

The lovely weather has made things seem that much 'brighter' and I know Sai's op was on Fri the 13th but his other cousin (Hi Jo!) said that the 13th and 14th were auspicious (lucky) days on the chinese calendar,so there you go.Ok,I've probably made this way too long (I very seldom read Sai's blog as I'm living it and cringe at some of the things he wrote but that's up to him).
