The Art Of Zen...

Hi Folks,

The Art of Zen and Silly Putty...

As you are all aware that we made some silly putty a while back. We revisit this wonderful stuff today and found great pleasure in molding the putty. I find it is a great stress reliever and it can calm my inner self.

You see, to mold the silly putty takes a lot of patience and slow movements. If you do anything too quick with it, the putty shatters or splits with jagged edges. These jagged edges are like the stress and turmoil we encounter during the day.

The end results of any manipulation of this putty is smooth lines and surfaces. The once you have molded it into the shape you want you let it sit and watch it melt into a blob on the table or take the shape of the container it is in. Again this takes time and it is wonderful to watch your work of art melt away. It sort of bring a calming feeling as we watch it on/off during the day. It like the Salvador DalĂ master piece with the melting fixtures and clocks. Can't remember what that painting is called...ack well...

Now all we need to do is convince Elaine...she thinks its just a blob of goo...and it no way interested in it. Anyway me and the boys had loads of fun with it. Forgot to add that the silly putty can bounce as well which adds another dimension to its wonderful properties.

Okay slight up date on St Vincents. We had a call from the specialist secretary and we had made an appointment with him for the 5th of July. Her excuse for not calling us back sooner was that she could not make out my voicemail. Elaine was speaking with her and she challenged the secretary that she also left messages...it was kinda brushed aside. In the end we got a result. Then the post arrived and I have another appointment for next Wednesday. Now we did make sure that when the secretary had called the appointment for July the 5th was the earliest they can fit us in...So guess what we taking next week appointment...

As for myself...I don't know where the day went. The hours and minutes sort of melted away...feeling good despite some some niggling pains in my gut, I think I had a good day. I did go for a rest during the afternoon, I was feeling cold and tired then but my short nap I felt energised to do some bits.

I am sorting out the PCs for the lads summer online activities. Elaine and I had discussed the issues with them and I had bought a piece of software to make the whole affair hassle free. Just need to implement it now. That will be another Zen piece I think. :-)

So again a little bit at a time...

Nite all,

Sai
