Looks like its another cracker of a day out there. Ethan and I are the only ones up. Floppsy is running about downstairs as well. I had a good night sleep last night and the first for a long time without any drugs. I think I had wean these off for now. I still have temperature problems and I would take some paracetamol for that if it gets too uncomfortable.

We had a late night last night as we invited some friends round for a BBQ. It is such a hassle to set up our BBQ as its a charcoal based one. By the time the BBQ is set up, sometimes it is much easier just using the grill. So I thought why not invite some friends round to share. So that's what I did as they were also planning on having one themselves. So we had a bit of craic and the kids must had ran themselves into the ground as Ethan fell asleep within 5 mins of going to bed.

Gez...I was tired too...I went for a bath...I know its roasting to have one but its the only sure way I know of winding down and getting ready for bed and I also needed to raise my body temperature a bit too. I like been warm. Well my dressing leaked and I had to change it out after. The wound is looking okay and there is still a large blood clot inside it. Well I will try not to change this out till next Wednesday. As we finally managed to have the sticky plastic covering centered correctly and I sure this will not leak. The other few times we had to improvised slightly to cover up the dressing.

The nurse showed us a neat way of trying to draw out the blood clot. She showed us how to cut out a thin strip of this hydro dressing stuff that is meant to draw and retain blood so that it improves the clotting action. She would manoeuvred the tip of this thin strip into the wound. The blood clot is about 5mm down...well I shudder every time I think of it...This is the only part I can't do myself and I have to ask Elaine to do it...

I found a brilliant service for those wee jobs around the house. Its a handyman call out service. I have a couple of taps that require changing out and I just sent off for a quote for this job. I would had tackle this myself normally but I am not sure were to start also I'm meant to take it easy as well. I happen onto this while strolling down the main street and I saw a van with the web address parked outside. They just do the labour and its €30 for 30 mins which I think its not too bad considering its almost €50 for any call out charge. I am not sure if they will cover Enfield, but I asked anyway...The way I looked at it I don't have the correct tools by the time I get around to buying them and using them etc...I have to also store these away afterwards. There is not much room to store stuff in our house. We are planning a clear out soon...
