Morning Folks,
Well I think I managed 2-3 hours sleep last night. As "sleepers" did not do me any good the night before I decided not to take them. I got up at 3am and pottered about doing my written journal and wrote about 5-6 pages. Then I decided to switch on the PC to check my email and surf a bit.. Tried to go back to bed at 6am and sleep did not happen for me..my mind was racing and I could not sleep. I even tried mediation. That didn't work either. If anyone out there have any ideas of the best way for a good night sleep please let me know. Sorry Alcohol is not a answer for me. Tried the old favourites and none worked so far...
Well Elaine and I are off to a walk down the canal. Maybe the fresh air might to the trick. But then night time will be a problem.
Later All,
Sai.

Hi sai,
I'm afraid I have no words of wisdom, you seem to be doing everything right. Maybe just going with the flow and getting a good sleep no matter what the time of day or night is the way to go, I know after a good night's sleep everything seems a lot better but worring about not sleeping certinly in my experience makes things a lot worse. I think that getting up and doing stuff like your journal and pottering about keeping your mind occupied is the right thing to do, but what do I know! Maybe also thinking that this is not how its always going to be, its only a temperory state of affairs and that you will get a normal sleep pattern back eventually. When I cant sleep I like having the radio on and listen to other people who are awake as well and think that I'm not the only insomniac in the world and the added bonus is if its boring sometimes I nod back to sleep.
Any way it is a glorious morning here after a weekend of pretty grotty weather, why am I inside on the pc? I think that your blog is great, so keep on keeping on.
Love
Jenny (Elderslie)X
PS tell Elaine I will speak to her eventually and that although I havent sent away for my passport yet I have got the photos etc and will be doing it soon, then i can arrange a date for coming over.
Hi Sai, Kenny here again.
You asked for ideas for a good sleep.
Sometimes I think that knowing what the time is can increase anxiety. I always banish all clocks from the bedroom esp illuminated ones. I'm not saying that it works everytime, but it eventually removes one layer of worry of the "its 4.00am and I havent slept a wink" variety.
Hope that helps, although you've prob heard that one before.
Speak later
Kenny
