Evening Folks,

Sorry about yesterday...it was a busy day social wise and at home.

Social wise Elaine and I met up with boards member cathymoran who also have cancer. We went out for lunch and spoke at length of coming in terms of cancer and the impact on our lifes. Both of us are under 40. We vowed to meet up soon again after our next round of chemo. I mentioned the Boards Community Forum. It has a depth of information and there is a recent Chronic Illness forum setting up now. The reason for this is that a lot more of people are having health problems. Visit and see...

On the home front I had major PC problems. I was trying to make the function of two PCs I had into one and in the event I lost a Hard Drive that had almost 5 years of work on it. Luckily I only lost the last month and a half work. Which I a recovering from the Internet :) Another thing is that the hard drive are still under warranty so I have setup a RMA for it. Funny thing is that the service desk for the manufacturer is in Bray and the hard drive is coming from Holland. Still not here yet...

That reminds me of a story about my windows XP install disk. I had the original Windows XP upgrade disk that was released when win98 SE was still about. Well last year I was fixing a PC and I rolled over it and cracked it. I thought nothing about it for a while as I had made a backup. Then the backup got scratch and I was not able to use that again. On the off chance I searched the MS site and I found that they have a lifetime replacement policy for retail install disks. So I phoned the number they had on the web and was put through to somebody in India. I explained my case and was transferred to someone in Germany that took my name and details. A week later the replacement disk came through and I had a Windows XP SP2 install disk with new install number :) This disk came from Dublin ............ its small world this is...

Well on the recovery side I am doing great this week. Mental wise, I am noticing that my absent mindnesses is getting worse. The chemo is affecting my short term memory. Creative wise I am doing great...Elaine is very relieves that I am cooking again. I made a fried fish dinner last night that the whole family enjoyed and today I made a shrimp/tuna Korma curry with some spinach mixed in. That went well too. Even thou I am eating well my weight is still 12 and half stones or 80 kg. This is the weight when I first met Elaine many moons ago...

Later,

Sai
