Afternoon Folks,
Yesterday was went by so quick Elaine had invited friends over for lunch and one of them had a young baby as well. Then a Karla drop by not long after the friends left. I was exhausted talking to after so much chatting and went for a nap afterwards. Which was a big mistake as I did not go back to bed till 5am. I was catching up on programs that I had recorded and watch the entire second season of Regenis (on Sci Fi channel).
Another busy day today. A couple of friends dropped by today again today at different time. It was good to catch up.
A hear that a few folks at work are on the health wagon. I recommend the health food shops in Leixlip, behind the AIB bank and the one in Liffey valley and surprising Tesco. Stuff from Tesco I get are the B-Complex, Vitamin C, D, E capsules, Omega 3 and Evening Primrose oil capsules. These are more for the family usage.I found Tesco were cheaper than the health food shops. From the health food shops I purchase supplements that are more targeted for myself. Enzyme pills to help digestion. Barley Green, Blue/Green algae pills, Male supplement's that contain most of the essential vitamins and trace minerals. Wait for it that not all. From eBay look for a retailer called energiseforlife. From them I purchase Alkalive Green Powder capsules. All this is taken along with a healthy (mostly) organic diet.
I try and talke these twice a day usually with a meal. I won't bother going into the science of them all, most of you know how to google :)
I have taken a liken to organic eggs as well. They taste much nicer than the supermarket free range eggs. We usually buy these eggs from the organic market down in Cadbury. The owner there, Deidre raise hens that only treated homeopathic medicines and are free to roam about in the outside and at night they roost in a hut. Free range eggs are nearly the same as battery hen eggs except that the chickens are kept in a barn and are not allowed to roam outside. They are still treated the usual way with conventional medicines. The eggs are nice in a sandwich.
Its being a while since I did a recipe. So here's one for my egg sandwich.
Ingredients
Organic Eggs, (normal eggs if you not fussed)
Heinz Salad Cream,
Sprouts, Alfalfa/Brocolli (small shots you get in Tesco in the healthy eating section)
Butter,
Bread of your choice.
Preparations.
(roughly 1 egg per sandwich)
Boil eggs it hard - approx 10 mins
Once eggs are boiled rinse in cold water and peel. Then chuck them into a bowl or cup or mug. Using a knife chop the eggs up. Once roughly chopped up add in a couple of table spoon of the salad cream. Mix well. You can add more salad cream if you want. Just don't make the mixture too runny. It should hold its shape without turning into a slop at the bottom.
Lightly toast the bread..just to make it a bit crispy. You can use regularly bread without toasting. Butter if you want. Spread the egg and salad cream mixture, add sprouts on and the other slice of bread. Cut to your choice and eat...
Instead of sprouts you could use rocket salad.
Right I'm off to make dinner with Michael. He has taken a keen interest in cooking these days..
Later,
Sai
