One More to Go !!!

Evening All,

Well after a sleepless night I managed to arrive at the Tallaght hospital in one piece. Despite getting up at 5am and plodding about. I did manage to have some Weetabix for breakfast and a cup of tea.

As it transpire the Weetabix came back out with a vengeance later on as. I had one of these bag leaks that caught on my jeans. Luckily I had a change of clothing with me and I sorted myself out.

I met Penny today and she had a slight set back and could not attend chemo last week and have to go this week. which worked out fine as we managed to catch up one last time. As this is her last session of chemo before radiotherapy. We exchanged email address and vowed to keep in touch.

I was so tired today and fell asleep a few times. I was told I was snoring...!!! not like me at all :-)

Anyway I in the midst of chemo blues with the hot sweaty flushes and nausea. I had a sleep early on and I feeling a bit better after some dinner. I am going to sleep off the side effects so I might not post in the next few days. Its all like at sea...high and lows. I on a high at the moment...

Elaine and Ethan had picked up a cold. Elaine is sleeping in Ethan's room till she recovers. Mind you i am a bit sniffy at the mo...I was the same as last time...we see if anything develops and I will keep you folks updated in that situation.

As for my stoma problems. I spoke with the stoma nurses in the hospital and she basically said the same thing as the district nurse. So I consulted with the doctor and he prescribe me Buscopan to stop my colon from spasms as he said this was the cause of the pain. So far it is helping.

Roll on number 12...
