Whoopee !!!

Hi Folks,

Another boring day out on the ranch today. Nothing much was happening. Elaine took the two lads off to the orthodontist today for their checkup. I took Ethan for his swimming lessons. Apart from that it has been really a boring day. Oh !!! I nearly forgot I replaced the bathroom toilet seat as it was getting a bit warped and it had been there since we moved in.

I felt much better today, my throat is not as sore as the previous days but I am developing ulcers now on both sides of the mouth. I think this is due to the dryness of my mouth when I am sleeping. I mentioned before that the chemo affects the saliva glands in the mouth and sometimes it stops working and I get the Sahara feeling in my mouth. Not very nice and especially with the pain of swallowing it makes feel like torture. I lay there with a dry mouth and thinking I really need to drink some water and then remembering the pain as I drink the water...well the pain is least of my worries now, it's the ulcers that are affecting me now. I wonder if these are related to the saliva glands...Where they are appearing are not the usual place for ulcers. They are both just behind my lower wisdom teeth. Anyway I am gargling with the mouth wash so hopefully the be away before the weekend.

I am gearing up to do a major clear out of the study as it is getting out of control at the moment. there are too many piles of letters to sort through and filed away. I really need to make a start on it as it is getting to be a real eye sore. Also there are a few misconceived projects lying about too. Like two PCs in bits and need to fix them...weekend job maybe...Letters first, then OU assignment and then the PCs...

BTW the reason for the whoopee...I sold some shares to keep us afloat last week before the recent stock market clash. Mind you, overall I still made a lost as these shares were part of the works APSS and they were bought prior to the dotcom bubble clash of 2002. That was when Intel shares were performing well. Hopefully I can wright the lost off in my 2007 tax return.
