Hiya Folks,
Well I managed to escape the hospital before they decide to poke me further. Its a long story and I might tell it later during the week...
Before I get carried away....I would like to thank all that had sent encouraging emails and texts to my family and I. Especially Myra and Billy....
Words can't describe how I feel of returning to home and to my family. I missed them all during my stay in hospital. We still have a few issues that require attention but we will plod through these as usual. In saying that I must express my wholesome thanks and gratitude to the staff in the hospital for taking the time and the attention in fixing me up. Without them I would not be here today.
I am feeling fine now, a few niggling pains, here and there. My water works is fully functionally now. I can pee without the annoying sensations before. The only problems is that I can't use the bottle while I was in bed. After my surgery I had to drag myself to the toilet to relief myself, as no matter what position I was in the bed I can't just let go. On the other hand my bowel is making up for lost time. After almost 9 months of inactivity it is making itself known again. This was what prevented me from returning home sooner as it also caught the doctors by surprise as well. Last week this time I was suffering from the old "Ring of Fire". In the end I managed to get some gel that did the trick. Then the doctors slowed the motion of my bowel to let my back passage rest. But that brought on other problems like gas and bloating. As I mentioned in some texts back to people a "little bit at a time with loads of patience" this will finally bring about for a full recovery...
During my stay in hospital I had loads of time to reflect on life and appreciate what I have. I have a wonderful wife, three healthy sons, family, good friends and neighbours...all makes up for living with cancer. Now that I am almost cancer free I can plan how to make most of it. The key thing is to take all aspects in moderation's. First thing is to start back on the track of eating more healthy and go ORGANIC. I was checking out my patch of broad beans and peas. They are going along nicely. The next thing is to plan out the garden to grow more veg...
Well its bed time, I will be glad to be in my own bed and have Elaine to cuddle...
Nite All,
Sai
