Hiya Folks,
Bet you are wondering why I mentioned Soya Sauce in my title. Well this sauce is loved by all yet it was astonishing that I know little else about it. It all came about when I was watching a program on the Nat Geo channel "How it Works". It takes 6 months to make this stuff from raw materials to the final brew. The process is a lot like brewing beer !!! Except instead of using yeast to ferment the wheat they use a mould to ferment the soya beans and instead of distilling they filter the liquid out. How strange is that !!! The wheat is just to add the sweet taste to the soya sauce. Talking about taste when it comes to soya sauce there are five distinct flavours. Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, and Umami.
This little known nugget of information is the same principle of my recovery from the operation. I also know little of to treat myself to lessen the effects from it. I still think that I am in the same physical condition to before my operation and I try to do the same stuff. Well the phrase "taking it easy" has just sunk into my conscious mind. In no way now,I am ignoring the fact that my physical condition is not like before. I have to force myself to be patience with whatever I do and not let my male pride get in the way of asking for help. So from now on I am "taking it easy" and not do anything in haste without thinking it through. I do not want to prolong the pain I am suffering from my stupid episode of washing the car...just think its only 4 weeks on Friday since my operation. Well with that off my chest I am happy to move on...
I am still in good form despite the pain. The pain killers are keeping that at bay. I am eating well and had put on a stone since that dreadful reaction to the chemo last November. I am taking each day as it comes and count them as a blessing as well. I am so glad that the lump is out and that I am on the mend. Water works are functional but still not the same as before. The muscles around my bladder are in constant contraction. So I have to concentrate very hard to relax them for me to pee. A lot of hard work for a simple task...
The rest of the family are doing fine and are missing their gran very much. Flopsy has grown a bit and her fur has turn a slight darker shade of brown. She is still very cute. Ethan is trying his hardest to teach her to climb the stairs...I don't think so. We are also trying to wean her off the chewing of the cables but not very successful so far. Instead we had decided to limit her prowling to the hall and the kitchen. That way there are less cables for her to damage...Ethan had taken a few more video clips but I keep forgetting to edit them for uploading. If I remember tomorrow to will do that during the "take it easy" spells.
Anyway it's time for bed...
Nite All,
Sai
