Doing Chinese !!!

Hi Folks,

Well it has been a tiring day...it started with me going to bed at 3:30am after a mammoth session fixing Jordan's PC. I had asked him to sleep in Michael's bedroom while I was fixing his PC in his room. There is still a couple of things wrong but the software is up to date and all are working. The things wrong are hardware base and we get them sorted in time. The good thing is that all software has been loaded onto it and it is working great. Especially the Internet monitoring program and the time limiter function. So no more arguments about it *hopefully*...

So after a well earned rest, I got up around 10'ish and Elaine wanted to have a family day out. We discussed going to the zoo, Blanchardtown, etc. Then decided to head into Dublin for some lunch and stock up on some Chinese foods from the oriental market. I mentioned lunch, as no-one was ready to head out at that time and by the time everyone were ready and en route it will be lunch time anyway....So we went to the New World Chinese restaurant on George Street for lunch. We ordered some dim sums and a plate of rice or "Ho Fun" noodles. The noodle dish was "cha fu chow hu" it means a bit of this and that and stir fried or I call it "just like that" noodles (Tommy Cooper)...Simple and delicious. For €75 including tip it fed the Man Family pretty well especially with two lads that eat like a horse...just a few euros more than MacDonald's or some other fast food places and it is also such a nice place too. Hey I don't even remember the last time I was in a fast food joint...

Another reason why we went there was that it was close to Asia Market. Where after a walk about in the capital city center, we ended up stocking up with Chinese provisions. It is handy as we parked in Drury Lane car park which is just a few doors away...

During our walk, we went to the Molly Malone statue. The reason for the visit was that Ethan had learnt the song in class and wanted to go and see the statue. He sings the song often around the house and he does sing it well too...

Then we went on a mission to find the Reptile Haven. The kids had been talking about it for a while. We didn't know where it was but found out that it was on Fishamble Street. Next one up from Parliament Street. It was a nice rumble on the way to it and to the dismay of our children we did some shopping therapy on the way. We did find a few nice shops to browse in and Elaine finally had the time to visit some shops that she had heard on the radio or read in magazines. The best thing of the day was that the rain had kept away while we were out walking. I must admit there are some outstanding shops, there was one with some ultra modern kitchens...it be nice if we just had the money to spend...so we will keep doing the lotto in hope. When we arrived there at Reptile Haven, it was feeding time for some of the snakes in the shop. Needless to say it is not nice to write about it here but the lads were interested...and despite Michael's persistent request for a Gecko we left the shop empty handed...phew !!!

As for myself, I am chuffed I had been paid for updating this blog. $20 so far...it the most I had since starting out on this online journey of my recovery..BTW I am feeling good and I think I have to go on a diet soon. My belly had expanded a inch or two since coming home from hospital. I think I am doing some comfort eating these days or it could be gas. I had been feeling a bit bloated the last couple of days. Hopefully if the weather holds up I can start going out for walks...I change my dressing today before we headed out and the wound is doing great. Elaine just caught me before I applied the sticky plaster and she was amazed on how small it is now. She had not seen it the last couple of times, so I was glad on hearing that. It is also much shallower now and I suspect I can stop packing it soon. Just have to wait till the nurse inspect it on Tuesday...

Well I am having an early night tonight to I off to ma bed...

Nite Folks,

Sai
