Good Day Today...

Hi Folks,

The pains in my mid drift are almost gone today. I can now stand straight without feeling any pain. Before I was walking about like an old man all hunched over. I am still off solids and hardly ate anything at all today apart from a cup of soup this morning. I can feel the hunger pangs but a glass of water or juice get rid of that very easily. I give my system another 24 hours of rest before I start back on some solid foods. I had made some broth to try out so hopefully it will be nice and mushy for me to eat tomorrow.

What profound thoughts do I have today? I had been thinking of work and when I can go back to it. It is almost a year now since I stopped working and the week after I stopped working I had my stoma. What a life saver and dread those thought gives me. The days that I felt really down was due to that stoma and bag. Especially when it prolapse and started to stick out more. I still think how lucky I was to have to go back to hospital with an infection and have one of these clear post-surgical stoma bag on for the doctors to see the prolapse. If I didn't I would still have the stoma and bag now. It usually takes up to 3 months before they perform the reversal. The wound is almost healed up now and there is a mighty scar there now. It is also not flat. It has a bit sticking up and a bit that is concave. Funny how that turned out.

Elaine have some slight bruising under her left eye but not much. It looks as if she has a large baggy eye there. The pain is also gone. She was out with friends for lunch today and Jordan made lunch today. They had some mac and cheese but it came from a tin so it was only a matter of heating it up and eating it...one day he will have to do a proper cooking...at the moment it is almost exclusively hand to mouth type cooking. They eat what is close at hand and when there is nothing made up or prepared they go and buy some from the shops...kids have it so easy nowadays. So heating something up today is a step in the right direction ;-)

Later,

Sai
