Monday-3 weeks

Hi Folks,
Sai texted me first thing this morning and Prof Keane (surgical) is back from holiday and popped into see Sai.He said 'you poor thing...'He said there was fluid on the abdomen and he would like a drain put in,again-and to get a ct scan.So i thought all that would have happened but when i spoke to Sai later on he said that Ray McDermott,also back from holidays had popped in also and he doesn't want a drain put in,again! I'm not sure if they had a meeting of minds about it but R Mcd said he has seen this happening before and it's best to let the chemotherapy sort it out.Sai has his 2nd lot of chemo on Wed. and they had said it would take 2-3 weeks for the chemo to start working on the liver (where fluid is coming from) so that's what we're going with.You see there is a chance of infection getting in with a drain and that would not be good.Sai's face has come out in spots (i know i said that before) but the oncoligist who was on last week did say that she was pleased to see that as it means the chemo is working and doing its job.

Well,he didn't get the ct as the list was full-cheers!And he had an x ray last night and adrain put in his nose to the stomach incase it was gas in the stomach causing the stomach to swell-----no-------so that taken out this morning.Poor Sai,he's just been through so much.Well,as my friend Sinead said,he;ll be sitting on Blainead's (sp) couch telling all one day!!!(The Afternoon Show here in Ireland-a magazine programme-her name is pronounced Blon-id.)I was planning to head over to visit him after t time and then go to Clane as the boys were going to see a councellor who does this voluntarily on a Mon night,she's lovely.But Sai said dont come all the way over here,I'm fine ,just sort the boy's out.I feel bad not seeing him again-def going over tomorrow.When i told Mike about the counseling he said 'we don't have to talk to puppet's do we?!'I think he saw it on Drake&Josh and he was half joking but was quite funny.Ethan of course chatting ten to the dozen! So we're going again next Monday but a bit earlier as Ethan will have school next Tuesday.

Anyway,better get to bed,night night.E. x
