Yet Another Hiccup........

Hi Folks,
Well not gret news as Sai is back in hospital again.His stomach got very distended and our gp came into see him and said she wanted to admit him but Sai didn't want to go-and who can blame him.Anyway we decided to leave it and see how things went over the afternoon but they didn't improve any.Sai slept all day and thet isn't like him lately.He agreed to go in then around 6pm and the gp arranged an ambulance to take him over to Tallaght Hospital.I followed in the car as i'd have no way of getting home without it.

At A&E there were about a dozen people,or more waiting on trolleys to be seen-i thought something was after happening! Luckily our gp had spoken to the oncology team in the sfternoon and they had called me-i also had spoken to AnneMarie the liason onc nurse and she knew too-so the doctor on call knew he could be coming in-so Sai was seen to right away-no 9 and half hors waiting around this time.The dr was lovely,Larry Bacon and he put a tube down Sai's nose into his stomach and a lot of liquid was drained out.This isn't the same as last time-last time the liquid was accumulating outside the stomach-peritineum wall.An x-ray showed there is an obstruction in the bowel which in turn isn't letting much get by hence the bloating.He's now in the Webb Ward,yet another ward.I spoke to him there and he's a bit sore still but is meant to be getting his 4th big lot of chemo today (really his 8th if you count it every week) so i better get organised and go in to see him.

Ethan stayed over at a friends which was great and Michael is in Germany (i dropped him to the school at 4am yesterday morning-our wee boy, going off on his own !) His flight left for Frankfurt at 7 15 am-i got a text eventually at 13 15! he's happy anyway so that's good.
