Hi Folks,

Feeling much better today. I am still affected by the cold but that had lessen to some extent. Sleep wise not too sure. I kept looking at the time all night. We have one of those Aldi specials that projects the time onto the bedroom ceiling. I am feeling full of energy today and I have not had a nap yet. So definitely a plus sign.

We had our first family meeting today. I had made five origami pagodas to symbolize each other and on each one I drew a eye for the mind and a heart for our feelings, then on each corner I wrote down the initials of each family member. I presented these to each one and showed them that when they interlock the pagodas would stand stand tall and strong. So at times of need we will be there for each other and together we will make a strong and combine effect to pull us through this difficult time. I then ask the boys for their help in helping me through this and give each a task to focus on. Jordan will be my wheat grass grower, Michael is my task master for the rebonder, and Ethan will ensure that I eat a pear or apple every morning. Elaine has my heart and mind already, she will ensure together we will beat this condition of mine. My task is simple, be there for them all. I have loads of time in my hands so I will spent quality time with all of them and not smolder in bed all day.

The reason I did this is that during the past week..as a family we were all muddling in our own way in regards to how to deal with my condition. Nobody knew what to do or say. Including myself. I thought that we need to say what we feel and be honest with each other, be there for one another at all times. What really prompt me was Ethan youthful honestly, he came into the my bedroom yesterday for a chat and a cuddle. He look at the pillow where my head was resting on and said "Dad, I see that you are losing a lot of hair..." and I thought such innocence truth. Hey I'm not bald yet..just thinning out and I won't be bald either...

At the end of the family meeting I showed each one how to make the pagodas from scratch. This was what they wanted. I think everyone enjoyed it. Then later on Elaine made a wonderful lunch for everyone. They had some french bread and I had some fried sweet potato, courgettes and bean sprouts.

Started to email other cancer suffers that I met and one I met on Boards had sent me a PM she has started a blog of her own.

I have started reading "Beating Cancer With Nutrition" by Patrick Quillin. Its a bit Americanise but full of good recipes and advice. A bit more lax than the Philip Day book that I had mentioned. So that will keep me busy for a while.

That's all for now.

Later,

Sai
