Monday

Morning,
Well,Sai's doing well now but is in hospital-he should be home today. He had severe pains on Saturday morning and i called an ambulance. It came from Maynooth and isn't meant to go to Tallaght but took Sai because of his history which was great of them.

We were in A + E for over 9hrs! A lot of prodding and x rays and a ct scan later he was admitted upstairs-turns out he had/has a haematoma under his (large) scar and the pressure that this was causing had nowhere to go so pushes on to any free space available ie all around abdomen.Sai thought he was, well dying-it wasn't the best Saturday of our lives but as D-ream said Things Can Only Get Better and they did thank God.After morphine, pethadine, penacillan (?sp) and IV paracetamol and a sleeping pill.It was midnight by this time.

Myles the registrar, was delighted to tell us that it was a haematoma (could've been much worse-he didnt say that but we know that because they were puzzled as to what was going on) but he was delighted to say the ct showed only one lobe on the liver has a 'spot' on it now and not on the other lobe -so i think this has improved even since the ct in March even though not on chemo now-?! i think-we'll see what Prof Keane says at the end of the month.Well,he did pop by to see Sai yesterday (he's often around on a Sunday which is great!) and said "What are you doing here you rascal?"

Anyway,Sai just called there -think he's to stay in another night but he's going to ask can he be discharged as Prof Keane said 24 hrs yesterday and it was Myles who did morning rounds -ah we'll see, signing off now, Elaine.
